Cinta cavia dark markings
Base markings will lways show beneath other markings.
Cinta's may have a maximum of two dark body markings and a base marking.
Genetics for Markings:
Br - normal markings, br - broken markings (causes markings to show patchily)
Dn/DN - dun, dn - non dun
Pg/PG - pangere (PGPG would be heavy, PgPg light) , pg - non pangare
sptb - spotted tabby
cltb - classic tabby
mktb - mackerel tabby
chth - cheetah
leop - leopard
cldp - clouded leopard
jgur - jaguar
thyl - thylacine
dlsp - dual spotted
pbld - piebald (piebald on cintas differ's from 'splash in that it is darker patches on the base colour, not white ones)
flst - filled stripes
tent - tentacles
GeneticsAll Cintas will have a genotype and a phenotype.
The genotype is the genetic code which tells you the genes your Cinta has/carries.
The phenotype is the written description of what those genes are.
This journal will cover all genetics including mutations, colours and markings but NOT eye colour (which is always dictated by the colour of the parents eyes.)

*AA / BB - agouti, Ar / BB - solid agouti (no pale belly, recessive to AA gene)

*EE - NON red. ee - makes black Lemon or chocolate creamOO - Orange, EO - 'tortoiseshell/calico' eO - lemon tortie/lemon calico
*ml - melanistic, ML - non melanistic, MLml - melanism carrier
Dilutes
*PP - no dilute, pp - turns chocolate lilac/beige OR turns black blue/slate
